Activities for Slow Learners and Advanced Performers

Slow learners and advanced performers are identified by the faculty of each department based on their active participation, involvement, performance in the classroom/clinics, and dynamics apart from their performance in the internal assessment in a holistic fashion.

• Internal assessment marks less than 40%
• Below average performance in clinical hours in lab skills and clinical performance

• Internal assessment marks more than 70%
• Excellent performance in lab skills and clinical practice
• Participation in co-curricular activities
• Involvement in the publication of papers and posters

Slow performers are identified by the faculty and the mentor in a combined fashion based on their performance in the internal assessment [<40%], lab hours, and practical sessions.

Advanced performers are identified by the faculty and mentor in a combined fashion based on their performance in the internal assessment [<70%], excellence during lab hours and practical sessions along with their fervor for paper and poster presentations and article publications in journals.

The institution provides help for the slow learners to come forward by addressing the various concerns of the student through mentor-mentee communications and arranging special classes, retests, one–on–one discussion with the faculty, and an intern-student mentoring system.

Advanced performers are encouraged to participate in quiz competitions, and guide them for research, paper, and poster presentations in the conferences along with the publication of articles in the journals
